Viking’s 37 Billfish In Production

The following is a reprint from “The Viking View” newsletter of Viking Yachts, Inc. 37 The 88,000 square-foot Viking Mullica facility opened in late summer with a dedicated team of Viking shipwrights in our satellite plant and launched full speed ahead to build its first new model, the 37 Billfish. Scheduled to be unveiled at our 21st annual VIP Boat Show Preview at the Viking Yacht Service Center in Riviera Beach, Florida, on February 3-4, 2017, the 37 Billfish will break new ground in its class as a sporty convertible and so much more. The rendering displays classic day boat styling and purpose, both as a canyon runner and a sailfish tournament marauder. With features including a center console helm station on the flying bridge, an 84 square-foot cockpit with a transom live well and split mezzanine seating with built in tackle stowage and a bait freezer, the 37 Billfish is all business when the lines go in the water. layout Yet when the fishing rods are put away, the salon beckons with comfort and features that transform the 37 Billfish into the resolute family cruiser. A convertible dinette and lounge provide shelter and relaxing room, and the lower helm station is an added plus for northern anglers wanting to extend their season, as well as southern anglers that prefer extra protection from the sun and tropical heat. But it is when you go below, that the 37 Billfish really turns on its charm with a spacious stateroom and an island queen bed forward, a fully equipped galley, a private head with a shower stall you’d expect  to see on a 40-footer, and of course,  Viking’s legendary  attention to detail with its striking teak joinery. mullica activity The activity at Mullica is busy with three Billfish boats on one of the plant’s two production lines.
