Supplies Needed: Dredge and a corkscrew swivel
The huge amount of time, money and effort it takes to present a high quality dredge to see it disappear because of a mates poor performance is heart wrenching. As a precaution, most professional crews are using what is called a ‘Corkscrew’ swivel to attach the dredge teaser. Not only does it offer a secure connection but it practically eliminates the possibility of a mate forgetting to close a swivel connection. The most popular swivel is the Quick Rig 450 lb. Corkscrew swivel. It’s worth the $5.00 investment.
