Supplies Needed: Bait rigs and sinkers

Sabiki-style bait rigs can snag just about everything including yourself, your kids or your friends. As a general rule when retrieving your catch, reel the rig to the tip of the rod and then lift and grab the weight at the bottom of the sabiki. This allows you to control your bait and rod and makes it much safer when removing baits from the hooks with a de-hooker. It’s a simple but important tip that will help prevent accidents in the future.
