Casa de Campo Cup Champion

Reel Passion first Marina Casa de Campo Cup Champion. La Romana, Dom. Rep. On Saturday the 18th S/F Reel Passion became the first Marina Casa de Campo Cup Champion, after releasing 29 Blue Marlins in 21 days of fishing. Second and Third place were received by S/F Fully Occupied with 25 releases in 18 days and S/F Shoe with 17 releases in 12 days of fishing respectably. The cup initiated on March 15th and ended on April 15th with 158 Blue Marlin released by the 17 participating vessels. The first half of the competition ended with 90 released and the second period closed with 68 Blues released. Marina Casa de Campo Cup is a permanent cup to be celebrated during Marina Casa de Campo Fishing Season in which the boat with the most Blue Marlins released during an established period of time will be named the winner. The competition began on March 15th and ended on April 15th, it was not mandatory to fish daily. This Cup will have its home at Casa de Campo Yacht Club and the name of the winner will be placed each year at the base of the trophy.  The winning team receives a replica of the cup. The organizing committee is composed by Mr. Jose Gonzalvo (Marina CDC General Manager), Mr. Rick Alvarez Casa de Campo International Blue Marlin Classic tournament director, Oscar Paredes (Marina CDC Harbour Master) and Vilma Núñez, (Marketing Director for Marina CDC).
