OFL Set For 2016 Debut

oflOffshore Fishing League Set to Debut in 2016New Schedule, Updated League Ownership Information Now Available

Miami, FL: The Offshore Fishing League (OFL) will commence championship competition in 2016, which will result in the crowning of the world first OFL World Champion. An updated schedule and additional information about the OFL is also now available through the League website at www.OFL.com. The OFL will continue to recruit team owners for the remainder of the 2015 fishing season. It a positive move that reinforces the League position as a major force in modern sportfishing. The League is also working closely with NBC Sports to produce a one-hour promotional episode that will air in 2015 to help build an audience for the OFL televised programming. The championship will begin competition in June of 2016 and will begin airing on NBC Sports in the fourth quarter of the same year. The network currently reaches over 80 million households in the United States alone. The OFL is also adjusting the schedule of events, selecting the best locations throughout the Caribbean. These will include stops in the Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, the British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and elsewhere. The OFL will continue negotiations with each host location to ensure that the events produced there are among the most competitive and of the highest profile found anywhere in the world.
