HMY Yachts, one of the largest yacht dealers in the world with 10 locations and 45 professional yacht brokers on staff, is excited to announce the hiring of three new team members with longstanding roots in the marine industry – Rich Lazzara, Louis Dvorak, and Rob Bowman.
Rich Lazzara, most recently owner of Lazzara-Lenton Yacht Sales in Ft. Lauderdale, brings a wealth of experience in premier yacht sales and brokerage. Rich Lazzara is a third generation yacht builder and has spent over 20 years in the marine industry. Having grown up working in his grandfather’s factory at Gulfstar, he has first-hand knowledge of yacht engineering, processes and construction. In addition, his ability to utilize the most modern sales tools such as social networking, blogging, direct email and mobile marketing drives his success and is a welcome asset to the HMY team.
Louis Dvorak has also joined the HMY sales team at the Palm Harbor Marina location in West Palm Beach, Florida. Louis has spent over 30 years in the marine industry, including 20 years at Oviatt Marine in Ft. Lauderdale, where he represented Alaskan Yachts as well as other new and brokerage 60’ – 80’ motor yachts. He quickly became Oviatt’s number one salesperson. Louis’ large yacht experience led him to join Ocean Alexander in 2009 where he specialized in both brokerage and new yacht builds for clients in the 72’ – 160’ motor yacht range.
Rob Bowman has accepted the position as the new Director of Marketing for HMY Yachts and will be responsible for the marketing, advertising, brand-building, and lead generation strategies for the company. In 2009, Rob assumed responsibility for the marketing and eBusiness department at MarineMax managing the marketing and advertising for all 50+ MarineMax locations and company strategies. In October of 2011, he went to work at Dominion Marine Media as the senior sales account manager for Yachtworld.com, Boats.com, and BoatTrader.com, where he managed the company’s top dealer and OEM accounts. Rob won the 2013 Sales MVP award for top sales revenue and growth in that fiscal year. Most recently, he held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Aquila Power Catamaran brand carried by MarineMax.
