JBBeaufort Based Boat Builder Recognized at Annual Manufacturing Summit
custom constructionBeaufort, NC (June 5, 2015) – Jarrett Bay Boatworks is pleased to announce their receipt of the North Carolina Manufacturer of the Year Award in the small manufacturer segment. Presented by McGladrey Consulting of Charlotte, the award aims to celebrate outstanding manufacturers in North Carolina and recognize the importance of this industry to communities across the state. McGladrey and Fifth Third Bank collaborate with the North Carolina Chamber each year to recognize top manufacturers in three segments: revenue up to $25M, $25M – $250M and over $250M. Nominations were submitted online and through mail, and judged by a panel of contributors to the manufacturing and overall business community in North Carolina. The winners were selected based on holistic accomplishments including growth, job creation, innovation and community involvement.

“Jarrett Bay Boatworks is a company built on a tradition of quality craftsmanship and integrity,” Jarrett Bay President Randy Ramsey commented. “When you walk into our facility you can’t help but feel the pride each craftsman has in his or her work. Our entire team is passionate about boatbuilding; they consistently produce quality work, and are determined to exceed our customers’ expectations. This is a great honor. Everyone that is a part of our organization helped to earn this. I am extremely grateful for their efforts to provide our customers with world-class craftsmanship and professionalism, and for McGladrey’s esteemed recognition.”

“We’ve worked with Jarrett Bay for many, many years and their breadth of operations and manufacturing are simply amazing!” stated McGladrey Marketing Associate Allison Quattlander. All winners and honorable mentions were recognized at the 2015 North Carolina Chamber Summit on Manufacturing held on Thursday, June 4th in Greensboro, North Carolina. Alongside Jarrett Bay, Keihin North America and Biogen were also recognized as the top North Carolina manufacturer for the second tier and third tier. “This is the fourth year we have presented the award and we continue to be impressed by the caliber of the nominations submitted,” said Steve Menaker, McGladrey’s Southeast Region Industrial Products Practice Leader. “The accomplishments shared with us by manufacturers across North Carolina truly demonstrate the valuable contributions this industry brings to our state and national economies.”
