We love our access to public lands. Do you? Show us your proudest public land moments, win a new pair of Costa Sunglasses or a Yeti Cooler, and help us protect our public lands legacy from being sold off forever. From now through November 23, follow @thetrcp on on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook and share your photos with the hashtag #PublicLandsProud. Well be running various themes over the course of next few months as follows: Aug. 26 Sept. 8: Fishing Sept. 9 27: Scenery Sept. 28 Oct. 18: Upland bird Oct. 19 Nov. 8: Dogs Nov. 9 23: Big-game Guest judges (a few that you may know) will decide which photographer wins a pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses (yep, were giving away six pairs). Well also spread the love and re-post our favorite shots. Later this fall, one grand prize winner will receive our Public Lands Prize Package, a custom Yeti Tundra 45 cooler with the TRCP logo, packed full of goodies. Well re-post our favorites as you share them and at the end of the contest, well select our grand prize winner who will receive our Public Lands Prize Package, a custom Yeti Tundra 45 cooler with TRCP logo and packed full of various TRCP goodies. We want to see the results of your greatest public-land hunts and the biggest fish youve hooked in public waters. Show us your best days afield in our national forests and BLM land, alone or with your family, and the most beautiful scenery youve discovered simply by taking advantage of open access to our country outdoor resources. Since 2014, efforts have been afoot to transfer federally-managed public lands to the states, which would result in one likely outcome: the fire-sale of these lands to the highest bidder and loss of access for sportsmen and American families. Early this year, hunters and anglers across the West held rallies and responded in their local papers with a resounding No way. Not my lands. Now, this fight has moved to Washington, and we need sportsmen to do more than tell lawmakers this is a bad idea”we need to show them. So, stand up for continued access to public lands hunting and fishing by tagging your photos and videos of what makes you #PublicLandsProud.
