62nd Stuart Light Tackle at Sailfish Point

October 13, 2015 By InTheBite Editor

Light Tackel Tournament 2014The Stuart Sailfish Club Announces 62nd Light Tackle Tournament at Exclusive Sailfish Point

Port Salerno, Florida – October 2015 – The Stuart Sailfish Club has announced the Club is now accepting entries for its 62nd Light Tackle Tournament and the 2nd Annual Florida Sailfish Amateur Championship. The event will take place December 10-13 at the prestigious Sailfish Point Marina on Hutchinson Island in Stuart, Florida.

Tournament Chair Thomas Dyer, who is also President of the Stuart Sailfish Club, is confident the Tournament will be filled to capacity long before the event takes place. “We are so excited to be partnering Sailfish Point and the Stuart Sailfish Club in this great Tournament,” Dyer said. “We have a winning combination: one of Florida’s largest purses and the event taking place at a beautiful and exclusive community and marina. This is the only opportunity many folks will have to fish from this location.”

The Tournament will again hold two divisions of competitors, the Professional Division and an Amateur Division.  This year’s Tournament will be limited to the first 30 entries in the Professional Division and the first 10 entries for the Amateur Division.  The Professional Division will fish all three days and the Amateur Division selects fishing any two of the three days.  The Calcutta for the Professional Division could reach $345,000 if all the professional boat participate and would be one of the largest purses in Florida.  “The Stuart Sailfish Club has a tradition of hosting great Tournaments, but I believe this event will be one of our finest. We really appreciate Sailfish Point partnering with us to make this event one that will be remembered by everyone who participates in it.”

For more information and registration packages contact the Stuart Sailfish Club at sailfish@stuartsailfishclub.com or call (772) 286-9373.
