Viking Announces New 38 Open Billfish

The new 38 Open Billfish blends the sportiness and purpose-built practicality of the Billfish series with the versatile command-deck design of the Viking open express boat. She runs on the same modified V hull as the 38 Billfish, which has received rave reviews for its smooth dry ride and nimble handling at speed and when backing down.

A raised centerline command station gives the captain clear sightlines in all directions and is equipped with a fiberglass (or optional faux teak) help pod, power-assist hydraulic steering with stainless steel wheel and Palm Beach-style controls. The Cummins Inboard Joystick System brings a new level of confidence in close quarters and around the docks. Twin 16-inch multi-function displays anchor a complete Garmin package on hull No. 1.

A starboard-side companionway leads below, where you’re greeted with hand-finished, high-gloss teak and Amtico flooring in a soothing climate-controlled living area. A starboard-side sofa across from the galley seats up to four and can also be used as an additional bunk.
The Private head has a large walk-in shower with satin nickel fixtures and an attractive Corian-topped vanity with sink and storage.
