Big Oh Takes First at Pescadora Billfish Championship

After two days of fishing the Big Oh team took first place in the 2020 Pescadora Billfish Championship with 27 sailfish. Vaquero came in second with 16 sailfish and one marlin. Grand Slam followed in third with 17 sailfish.

The 300th fish of the tournament—a blue marlin—was caught at 1:42 p.m. by Morgan Welch on the Outage!  

Official score for tournament is 180 sailfish and six marlin.

      • 1st Place, Day 1 Winner, Day 2 Winner – Big Oh – 27 sailfish
      • 2nd Place – Vaquero – 16 sailfish, 1 marlin
      • 3rd Place – Grand Slam – 17 sailfish
      • 4th Place – Outage – 10 sailfish, 2 marlin

Top Tagging Team – Team Shoe and Team Pescadora
Top Tagging Angler – Britney McCrae, Team Kelly Dawn
Best Video Submitted – Game Fisher II
Best Team Name – Chardonnay Castaways

There was a total of 34 boats, approximately 400 registered participants, 330 sailfish and nine marlin.
