The Snafu will be fishing for huge blue marlin off the coast of Kona this winter.
Boat builder Donnie Caison loves building boats. When asked what makes him different from other builders, “I’m completely involved in the build process from start to finish. I do all the original drawings, designs, all the testing, including the weight study, I help layup the hull and get involved in the final paint process. I’m as hands-on as I can be,” says Caison.
Currently, Caison Yachts is finishing up Hull #16 a 54’ called Snafu scheduled to be shipped to Kona, Hawaii in October 2020. Also in the works is a state-of-the-art, cold-molded, 40’ triple outboard center console model headed to South Florida this winter. When you inquire about his boats, don’t be surprised if Donnie answers the phone too.
