New CAT C32B Marine Engine: The “B” Means Better for Repowers

September 22, 2020 By InTheBite Editor

Drop it in and go: That’s how easy it is to repower with the new 2025 mhp Cat C32B engine.

The new model is a drop-in replacement for your existing 1825 mhp or 1925 mhp C32, fitting into the same space in your engine room. And you don’t need to worry about added weight slowing you down. The new C32B delivers a five-percent power increase over the previous model with just a two-percent weight increase. It’s more muscle without more bulk.

Here’s what else makes the new C32B a great choice for repowers:

Run longer at higher horsepower: With an “E” tier rating, the C32B gives you the power to run at wide-open throttle as much as eight-percent of the time — at least three-percent longer than the closest competitor.

Enjoy the quiet: Thanks to its highly reliable, easy-to-service advanced unit injection fuel system, the C32B is 25-percent quieter under low-speed conditions than the previous model.

Restart your warranty coverage: Like all Cat marine engines, the C32B comes with the industry’s best coverage: unlimited-hour protection for the first two years, with the option to add Platinum Extended Service Coverage for up to eight more.

Add other upgrades: While your boat is off the water for a C32B repower, consider upgrading to the newest Cat color displays and Cat controls. Your dealer can order the engine and controls together and send the package to the shipyard — it’s fast and convenient.

Spend more time fishing: After your C32B repower, keep using the proper Cat filters and fluids and work with your dealer to take regular fluid samples. Doing so likely will let you extend your oil change interval to 500 hours — that’s less time spent on maintenance and more time spent on the water.

More power, more speed, more peace of mind and more time on the water — that’s what you get with the new Cat C32B. Find out more about our new 2025 mhp model and what makes it the ideal choice for your repower here: www.cat.com/en_US/campaigns/awareness/meet-the-cat-c32b.html. And be sure to ask your local Cat dealer what else is coming soon to the C32B lineup.
