Vilano Boatworks Introduces a New 65 Sportfish

Vilano Boatworks, a custom Sportfish builder based out of St. Augustine, Florida, is bringing something new to the boating world with in the form of a new 65′ sportfish with design and engineering by in-house Naval Architect Erwin Gerards. Construction of the jig and tools has begun, and the projected splash is May 2022. The build will be a jig-built composite boat featuring Caterpillar engines. Performance will be in the 40kt cruise with a top speed approaching 50kts. This first build is being commissioned by a family whose fleet includes a custom sportfish, Merritt express as well as a Front Runner Boats center console. The 65 Sportfish will feature the new 2400hp CAT C32B outfitted with gyro stability, Omni Sonar, and a full tower. All models will be featuring Caterpillar engines.
