DAIWA to Show Latest Technology and Innovations at ICAST

July 20, 2021 By InTheBite Digital Editor

DAIWA, July 20, 2021—Anglers hoping to work up explosive action on their next trip would do best to carry plenty of dynamite – and that’s exactly what Daiwa’s new Saltist MQ spinning reels bring to the table. Lightweight, smooth, durable and sexy, the entire series features Daiwa’s ground-breaking MQ construction, allowing extra power to be packed inside an exceptionally rugged, corrosion resistant frame. As if that’s not enough, Daiwa has piled on many additional cutting-edge features at a price that offers plenty of bang for the buck.

Behold the new standard in freshwater low-profile baitcasting reels, Daiwa’s brilliantly designed Zillion SV TW. Style, innovation, research, and passion come together in the birth of the new Zillion SV TW. With 40 years of research and experience in magnetic braking systems, Daiwa has added a brand-new SV Booster System gives anglers total control, now with the added benefit of longer casting distance. The reels also feature Daiwa’s new Hyper Drive Design for an ultra-smooth retrieve and powerful winding performance.
With imminent abuse in mind, the brain trust at Daiwa developed the new Dry Bag Backpack. Tactically hardcore on the outside, the 100% waterproof bag is constructed with light but durable Tarpaulin/Nylon PVC coated material to resist wear and tear. Despite the ruggedness, the Dry Bag Backpack material is surprisingly soft, and overall weight is not burdensome. All seams are robustly reinforced, too, knowing that users will push spatial limits.
A couple years back, Daiwa tipped the fluorocarbon line market on its ear with the launch of Samurai J-Fluoro®, a superior Japanese developed and manufactured fishing line. And now, Daiwa changes the paradigm in fluorocarbon again with Samurai J-Fluoro® Hidden Concept.  Aggregating all the principal features of the original Samurai J-Fluoro – narrow diameter, low-stretch, abrasion resistance, no float, minimal memory, strike indicating and long casting – the new Samurai J-Fluoro Hidden Concept takes perceptibility to a new tier, virtually eliminating its visual presence in the water column.
Known for their extraordinary multi-species fish-catching abilities, there’s just something special about jerkbaits. Whether cast or trolled, they simply catch fish—no bones about it. Along those lines, Daiwa is proud to introduce a radical new take in jerkbait design born from the research and testing of renowned Daiwa tackle designer Kazuma Izumi. Enter the Steez Custom HMKL Minnow. The HMKL’s first design was based on the universal profile of minnows, but Daiwa tackle designer Kazuma Izumi has taken it much further choosing just the right material, coating, lip design, figure, and size.
You won’t hear it in ICAST’s New Product Showcase, but imagine the buzz of the biggest, baddest bee making a scene on the surface, throwing water with its oversized wings. You won’t appreciate its beautiful rhythmic retrieve at both high and low speeds, either. And you won’t see how far it casts. But know that all are hallmarks of Ever Green’s best-in-class LOUDBUZZ surface buzzbait.
