The reels will be available in 6 different sizes from the No. 3S to the No. 8S. The all-machined aluminum reels will be manufactured at our Seymour Connecticut location with about 60% valued content from outside the United States. The new VISSER Spinning Reel S series will be introduced at the ICAST new product showcase in Orlando July 20. “We are extremely excited to add this powerful super performance reel to our current lineup, giving customers more choice and selection for their needs in different fishing environments,” the company said in a press release. “We challenge any other brand of reels to even come close to the performance and durability of our reels.” The unique features are all designed to enhance the performance to an extremely high level such as the high impact, high lift capacity stainless steel gearing, so cranking directly down on large fish can be done with confidence. The oscillation block has inline bearings for frictionless smooth action. Special super hard coatings are applied to all other moving internal parts. The VISSER spinning reels might be new, but the designer and owner of the brand Robert Koelewyn is certainly not new in the business, having successfully started several major brands like VAN STAAL, ZeeBaaS and more recently 3-TAND fly reels where his TF fly reel design took the best of show award at ICAST 2014. His most recent designs are the Van Staal VR spinning reels and the VF fly reels.
