Supplies needed: Squid chain, crimps and mono
Have you ever had a nice blue marlin pile on your squid chain before you give a violent pull only to have the chain reappear bunched up and tangled together? Kyle Fisher has a nifty way to keep the squid from sticking together and also eliminate the need to reel them in to untangle the mess. Welcome the billfish squid teaser chain space saver. The idea is to leave a couple inches of tag ends sticking out from the crimps on each squid position. When the squid creeps up, the tag end will ensure the squid does not pass the next crimp and will slide back into position with a little jerk of the teaser. Another alternative is to floss the squid in position.
