As of August 2, 2022 We have filled the position. If anything changes we will repost the opportunity. Thanks for all the responses to our InTheBite Job service.

Our client is seeking a professional first mate for a 60’ B&D.  The boat is based out of Charleston, South Carolina.

– Fishing schedule includes East Coast, Northeast & future plans for a Pacific campaign

– Includes tournament fishing

– Must be willing to relocate to Charleston, SC

– Moving allowance is a possibility

– Salary Range: $50k based on experience

This program is seeking a candidate who, above all else, has a good work ethic and can be trusted. Basic fishing knowledge of knots and billfishing is a plus but the captain is willing to train the right person. The majority of your day to day work will be maintaining the boat condition. When not fishing you will be waxing, washing, cleaning, taking care of the tackle and assisting the captain in the primary upkeep of the vessel.

The right candidate will learn from a professional captain who is very experienced and traveled the world on a high-profile program. The captain is looking for a team player who is eager to learn and wants to succeed in all aspects of professional sportfishing. Says the Captain, “I want someone who can be responsible, do what is asked and take pride in their work and needs to be based out of Charleston, SC. I’m looking for someone to grow with the operation as we show the owner new fishing locations and experiences.”

Minimum Requirement: Must have some boating experience and excited to learn fishing.

Non-smoker preferred
