JUPITER, Fla. (Nov. 8, 2022) – Born on the water and committed to protecting the watery world it calls home, Costa Sunglasses continues supporting Hurricane Ian relief efforts with a $50,000 donation to its longtime conservation partner Captains for Clean Water. The full donation will go towards the organization’s Emergency Disaster Relief Fund to help those impacted by Hurricane Ian get back on their feet.
Bajío Sunglasses and Captains for Clean Water are partnering together to raise funds for Hurricane Ian relief. As part of their “Artists for Ian” campaign, Bajío will auction off original pieces by renown tattoo artists Casey Anderson and Drew Wilson, the proceeds of which will go to the Captains for Clean Water Emergency Disaster Relief Fund.
The coasts are places we all love to explore and protect—especially in Florida, where Costa calls home.
One week ago today, Hurricane Ian made landfall on Sept. 28, causing catastrophic damage to Fort Myers, Naples and surrounding areas in Southwest Florida. Even though we were preparing and closely monitoring the storm with our local Costa team and cause partners across the Keys and Florida, the aftermath is far worse than we imagined, and these communities are suffering a devastating loss.
Hurricane Ian was one of the deadliest and most destructive hurricanes ever to hit Florida. Thousands of people remain without power, water or shelter, including many first responders, biologists and other FWC staff. Please help those who risk their lives for us in times like these. Your donations are needed to provide emergency housing, food, water and other necessities. No gift is too small. Thank you!
