JUPITER, Fla., July 17, 2020 — InTheBite, the definitive source for engaging sportfishing content and insightful industry news, is pleased to announce the hire of Steve Dougherty as editor-in-chief. The change in leadership comes as a result of Elliott Stark’s relocation to Ohio in June.
Ending a 13-year, 78-issue run with Florida Sport Fishing magazine, Dougherty brings an excellent blend of assets to build upon the existing strengths of the publication. He is a proven editor, skilled journalist and decorated photographer with enthusiasm for teamwork and fast-paced environments.
“Steve is a rare find and will oversee our content strategy and development across all platforms,” InTheBite Publisher Dale Wills said.
A tournament-winning angler and talented writer with a keen eye for detail in crafting compelling images, Steve’s professional journey demonstrates his ability to deliver innovative content within the modern media landscape.
“The stars have aligned, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help InTheBite take its next steps into an ever-changing future,” Dougherty said.
